Finding the one that got away - out of sequence

In June of 2012, I was visitng my mom in Chester, VT and I decided that if I was spending several weeks in Vermont each summer, then maybe I should look around for motorcycle to keep there. I was cruising Craig's list and there it was, a 1983 Yamaha Vision with less than 10,000 miles for $900.

I called, borrowed my brother's truck, drove to S. Burlington, test drove it, loaded it up and took it back to the farm. It ran and was largely complete. Even had the shop manual.

Changed all the fluids, ordered missing fasteners and discovered the coolant drain was seized. I went to Dan Turco & Sons in Rutland, VT and discovered that one of their mechanics, Joe, had owned a Vision and used it to travel from NJ to VT when he was in the service.

Later that summer, mom died. So I had a motorcycle in VT, but wasn't going to stay there as much. Now what?
